Confetti Storm

There’s a confetti storm coming;

Thought I should move.

Grab my umbrella and

Take off my shoes.

Polka-dotted clouds

Gather in the sky.

Out falls a swing

10 stories high.

Notes:  What can I say?  My mind comes up with stuff like this, and I find it written down in my journal (months ago).  Meanwhile, I’d totally forgotten about it until I saw it there a few nights ago and laughed.  It seems unfinished, so maybe more will come through sometime.  But for now, I leave you with the idea of a “confetti storm”–my kind of weather.

Driving the Dreamship

What I want to know…

What I want to say …

Is will you come

With me to-day?

To go for a ride

On my DREAMSHIP

Where we’ll learn to fly,

Dive, twist, and FLIP…

In the DREAMSHIP school

We navigate life

With lots of love

And plenty of s p i c e.

I like to ask,

“Are you having fun?”

Cuz if you’re not

It’s time to RUN–

Run fast and hop

On your own dreamcraft…

Create a life

With more pizazz!

Each day you open

Your dreamship doors

And step into a world

That’s entirely YOURS.

Mind your thoughts.

And your feelings, too…

         The things you think

Come back to you.

Soul’s Troll

The spiral path

To your soul

Is guarded by

A lonely troll.

He endeavors to stop

All who enter–

Who try to grow

And find their center.

It’s not his fault.

He has forgotten

His real, true purpose

Is to show you the button

The button to press

To open the chamber

That passageway to

Love’s container.

When you’ve mastered

The keys to life’s game

You are ready to pass

Into this flame:

The center of the heart,

The gateway to GOD…

Home is where it leads;

The troll is a fraud.

So, know that he’s there,

Nod when he tries

To keep out what simply

must pass on by.

Sooooo…..

In you are going,

In you must go.

Your destiny awaits you–

At the end of the rainbow.

I wrote this one in 2013, inspired by a spiritual retreat I did in Sedona in 2010, focused on getting into the “sacred chamber of the heart”. I felt it quite hard to get into the deepest spaces of my heart, as if there was a troll guarding the gate, limiting my access, demanding my growth. I didn’t know exactly how to appease him at the time, so I wrote this poem, which provided me with some museful insight. It has became one of my favorite poems that I’ve written. I made this little bit of graphic art to go with it a few years ago.

BLISSperiment

The energy of this moment

Is soooo DELICIOUS

I want to capture and bottle it

And make chocolate kisses

To eat with the Gods

While we drink of this nectar

Flow in the sweet river

Of tranquil Creator

A 3rd eye explosion

Pan-sensory emotion

Bliss-felt dream-ocean

Of heart-song devotion
